It's been awhile little blog friend of mine. Still working on trying to get that condo while I'm now living hopelessly in my parents basement till I close. In the mean time I've been busy...
For about the last year I've been performing a strange drag/burlesque bastard love child once a month at a friend's Variety Show type of night... then she invited me to another show she was about to do with short notice. I jumped at the chance and it was a blast. It's only been opening night so far but tomorrow is the second week, and it is suppose to be a weekly night so I'm rather stoked at the chance to keep coming back. It's exciting fun, a creative outlet that is my complete opposite, pushing me, and in the end I become more comfortable in my everyday skin. Then my competitive side comes out a bit, and of what I've seen of drag kings around here is that they are lacking in some area... I may not be that good (yet) but damn I think there needs to be some glamor. Look at the king's counter part... the Drag Queen... sequins, wigs, but pads, sky high heels, that's a show to see. You pay to see rock stars, and half the time they can't even play they just look cool... so I'm not completely sure how I'll do it... but I know every chance I get I want to improve, add a little more rock star mojo and scrape up some scraps from the queens' glamor and keep progressing becoming more and more entertaining. That was probably mostly blabbering, so here's a video from last week:

I'm also excited to be showing some of my stuff in the coming First Friday at a friend's collective gallery. I want to share my coloring books, remind people to enjoy the little things. Growing up doesn't mean you can't do anything you enjoyed before. However my coloring books are not exactly kid friendly... but the act of coloring is still the same. I also plan to show/sell some necklaces that feature my drawings, and some plaques.
That's what new, and for the first time in a long time I'm excited about doing something.
